Preparing financial evidence that holds together
Most financial evidence is rejected for consistency and completeness, not for the amount. Here is what that means in practice.
Completeness before amount
A statement missing pages, or covering a shorter period than required, is a problem regardless of the balance it shows. Print or export the full period, every page, including the ones that look empty.
Consistency across documents
Your stated occupation, your income evidence and the movement in your account should tell one coherent story. Where they do not, explain the reason with documentation rather than leaving it to be inferred.
When someone else is funding the travel
Sponsored travel needs both the relationship and the sponsor’s capacity evidenced. A transfer into your account shortly before applying, with nothing to explain it, raises the question it was meant to answer.
Freshness
Financial documents age. A statement prepared months ago may no longer sit within the period required at the time you actually submit.
